I bought these stools to be used mainly in my kitchen. However, I also use them to pull up to a pub table in my family room for extra seating. I knew that the stools would be slightly too high for both my tables. But, given the design, I was able to cut some length off the bottom of the legs. They've worked out well for me.

I am using the backless barstools at my kitchen island. They are attractive, but not of the best quality. The paint on the legs have white spots that were either not painted or have rubbed off. They are not used very often which makes them satisfactory. For heavy usage, I would not recommend them.
