Extremely sturdy, clearly built to last, and attractive to boot. Wrought iron base has no welding "blobs" and a nice flat finish. The wood seat has a silky natural color finish and the seat itself rotates. I use it as a vanity stool for a built-in vanity in my master bath, but this stool could fit in in any number of places within a home. I'm sure if I ever move, I will find a new place for it and I have no doubt that it will last. Caveat: it comes fully assembled, just unwrap.
