We use these chairs at our kitchen island.
They are great because of the design and are very functional because they are easy to put on the counter when we are cleaning the floor.
The thing that is not so great is that we often stub our toes on the legs...not the chairs' fault.

I needed a chair for my daughter's little make up counter. This chair fits the need perfectly. It was at the perfect height and it fits under the counter beautifully. The wood grain and color went well with the wood floor. The Japanese style added a touch of unique style to the room. My daughter loves it. It is sturdy to be used and abuse :) everyday by a teenager. [...] But it was too bad for a great chair.

the seat could be more curve to create more japanese effect in case you really want japanese look, comfortable seat if you're not plan to sit more than an hour but overall it's a sturdy chair, good weight so it's not tip over easily, reasonable price.
